Covid
Apart from not opening the whole farm on Mondays for the foreseeable future, there are a few other safety precautions that have been implemented to keep you our valued visitors safe and healthy. These are set out below. Please help us to help you by following a few simple steps and any instructions issued by farm staff.

Covid Special Measures
While infection from Corona Virus is still a threat there will be special measures in force at Grimsbury Farm for the protection of our visitors, staff and animals.
Latest details can be found on this website our facebook page and on the South Gloucestershire Council website.
If you suspect that you have the virus or have very recently been in contact with someone suffering from Covid 19 please stay away from the farm.
If local conditions suggest a new spike in Covid 19 we may further restrict access or close the farm.

Track and Trace
Like most venues open to the public, Grimsbury Farm takes its responsibilities very seriously.
You will be asked before entering the farm for some personal details to enable track and trace in the event that you come into contact with someone later found to have Covid 19.
We are making compliance with track and trace mandatory for all persons entering the farm so if you prefer not to share details please do not feel offended if you are not permitted to enter the farm.

One Way System
Certain areas on the farm have been designated as one way to help with social distancing. please observe and comply with directions.

Social Distance
The farm can become very busy at times. We ask all visitors to maintain correct social distancing of at least 1.5m or 4-5 feet.
Visitors are encouraged to wear face masks when the farm is busy.
If staff are concerned about numbers of people in certain areas or on the whole farm they may ask people to move, restrict access to parts or the whole farm or close the farm entirely.
We do hope that visitors will observe social distancing so that everyone can enjoy a safe visit to the farm and it will only be with people's safety in mind that restrictions will be put in place.
Please be advised that CCTV has been installed to help with management of numbers and flow of visitors.

Hand Cleansing
To help prevent spread of the virus, additional hand washing points and sanitiser dispensers have been set up around the farm. Please use these to stop infection passing from having touched tables, fences, playground surfaces etc.
Parents are encouraged to have children understand the importance of hand washing or using hand sanitiser.
Additional toilet facilities have also been installed to reduce queuing and to allow contractors to regularly clean facilities without closing all toilet blocks at the same time.
Please help us by taking all your rubbish home with you or using the bins provided.

Observe Instructions
Areas like the playground are very popular. We will keep these open as much as we can and have put in place additional measures to keep play equipment safe but users are encouraged to bring santiser wipes to use before and after children use the equipment.

Restricted Access
To enable the farm to operate there are times when animals need to be moved or staff need to work in areas which would mean coming into close proximity to members of the public. The farm will therefore reserve Monday each week for these necessary operations and so access to the farm will be restricted on this one day of the week.
The playground and New Barn Cafe will be open on Mondays as usual.

Obey Staff Directions
Situations can change rapidly and visitors may be unaware of issues that the farm staff need to deal with.
From time to time farm staff will find it necessary to direct members of the public. Please follow intsructions promptly and do remember that it is only the hard work and dedication of the farm staff that will allow the farm to remain open for your enjoyment.
